 Hayato Maki was born into famous surfing family in Japan. He grew up in Tokyo and moved to Hawaii at the age of 14 where he attended Kalaheo High School. Hawaii was his first experience in surfing and now has become a stylish traveling free surfer. Hayato's start to surfing was influenced by his older brother (actor/surfer) Claude Maki. He's fluent in both Japanese and English and spends most of his time in Chiba, Japan.
